Fern's Big Idea

And I’ll tell you why…

This is a very special blog because today round about dinner, I asked Mr. Mitchell whether I could have a blog about just one great story. However, this story has a twist, my audience will decide what happens next, as you will be able to vote using a poll.

I hope you can comment on this and tell me whether you are going to help me with this exciting new project.

There on the ground was a mango sized egg. Causiously, looking around me I started to walk closer. I was about a foot away from it. Inquisatively, I started to stretch out my arm. Suddenly, I touched it! It was rough yet warm. I picked it up and wondered what to do with it. I could just destroy the egg as there might be a menacing creature in this egg. I could keep it warm as there could be a delightful animal in this egg. Should I keep it warm and wait and see what it is. I don’t know should I leave it, it might bring trouble to my family.

Discreetly, I cupped my hand and placed the egg into it. What was that I heard? I held the egg to my ear, Click, Cluck, Click,Cluck. An obscure sound had occurred from the egg. Click,Cluck,Click,Cluck. Was it ready for hatching?  ”Oh no” I thought “I better get it home” I carefully settled the egg down in my coat pocket and raced home  also being careful not to drop the egg. I anxiously opened the door trying not to make a sound. Slowly but surely, I was in the house, I lurked up the stairs so that Mum and Dad wouldn’t hear a sound. I ran to my room and got an Easter basket out of my draws. After that, I put some straw and toilet paper in the basket. Moments later, I placed the egg into the humble basket. There it was a again, Click, Cluck, Click, Cluck, But this time louder! CRACK, there was a microscopic hole at the top of the egg and another! and another! Soon it made actually a  quite large hole at the top. What ever was in the egg the face popped out! What was it?

CRACK! The whole of the egg had shattered to pieces, moreover there was a miniature version of the beast! Oh No! I bet it will bring shame on my family. Grrrrrrrr! The monster leaped into a low murmuring growl. This monster had green fluffy ears with a tiny slimy body. It had a snout nose and quite big feet.  The beast like figure leaped and bounded onto my lap. “Argghhh, get off me”
Oh no what should I do, I thought,If Mum and Dad find out about this I’m doomed, literally. I could get rid of it, although what would it do then. I could take it with me whilst I’m looking for the monster. I could keep in in here, even though it will mess up my room.

Right, I think I need to go look for the beast I thought, What about the monster. There on the side if my desk, was a bag. I put the moonster in the bad. The monster absolutley hated it! It sqiggled and squirmed. Soon afetr, I decided to leave the house through the back gate as Mum and dad would notice me through the front door. I eased open the back door then tiptoed down the garden,  until I got to the garden gate. I prised it open carefully, EEEEK. All of a sudden the monster jumped out of the bag, ” Get back” I screamed unaware that Mum and dad would hear me. “oh no, you could die please come back, please!”
The monster started hopping back to me and had a sad look on  its face. As I continued to walk down the back street a golden silloughette appeared. What was it? I asked myself. I stared to step closer and closer until I was about 2 feet away. I put my hand in doubtful about what was doing to happen. A cold hand touched my hand and grasped hold of it. “argghhh get of what are you? GET OF ME!”
I had to find out what that was so I slowly stepped inside. After a while I was in a different world, no it wasn’t that it was a differnt time! Laying infront of me was the huge beast that was chasing after me. What should I do?

There he was lying on the floor unconcous I should think. Whats happened to him, nobody needed to dot hat to him-thats awful! There was blood streaming down his neck. Where was I? There was a tree further down the field I was on. The luscious green grass  had spots of blood on them. I grabbed hold of the monster and dragged him to the nearby tree. WOW, he was heavy. He had goo all down his face, was the cut in his neck infected, I asked myself. THATS IT! The baby monster in my bag I wonder if that could help? I got the baby out carefully and placed it on the giants stumach. The baby hopped up and down on his stumach, heavier and heavier every time. All of a sudden the baby started to walk up the monsters body and lay down. Gold light flashed out from the monster and the babys body, then, the gash started to knit together. Suddenly, the monsters body started to move, the baby jumped of and the monster got up….

There he was stood up as tall as the eifial tower, many feet  above me. His eyes soft and staring into the past. Deep, behind the mist in his eyes I realized that he was upset. He looked at me with shock as though to say ‘Thank you for helping me I almost died.’  The baby monster was in the monster arms glad to see his dad again.
 ”Are you ok? Is this your son that hurt you? Where are we?” I spouted out lots of questions I had loads to ask him, but yet there was no hope, no point he wouldn’t answer me. All of a sudden  his face came to life from staring into his past. “Do you understand me?” I asked.
“Of course I do!” replied the Kangasaurus. “I never knew anyone else other than Kangasauruses spoke Kangasaurlish!” he stated.
“But… I’m speaking English!” I stuttered, at this point I thought he’d gone mad!
“No, I think you you will find the words coming out of your mouth are Kangasaurlish.”
“I think it might be because I am through the vortex and I cvan understand you now?” I questioned. “Anyway, I need to find my way home, can you help me get home?”

“I can, but I will have to ask my Emperor!” bellowed the beast. I stood there in silence. The beast grabbed me by my arm. After, he want pounding on, with me dragging on behind. Moments later he took me to a forest and let go of my arm.  The trees were 50 times taller than me. The orchestra of birds stopped singing as I stepped into the colossal forest. The thorns tuck into my legs as I plodded past. SWOOSH, something wizzed past the forest floor, some people wearing black clothes was sprinting down the forest foor, they stood there in front of me with a net and a bat.

“OUCH! Get of me your hurting my arm!” The people in black clothes had a menacing look in there eyes as they had hold of me, “We’re taking you to our Emperor” they bellowed. They dragged me across the vines on the floor. The ochestra of birds were staring at me with a thousand inquisative eyes. I was getting angry now, I hadn’t done anything! Why were they hurting me? In the distance, I saw the monster with its baby in his arms. They both had a sad look on thier faces as though I knew them for years. Bushes of all sorts were digging in my back, green plants, yellow plants and blue plants, this place had then all, this place was mysterious. We must have travelled a mile now, I now I am not supposed to be here but this isn’t right! All of a sudden the people or should I say monsters that had hold of  me stopped dead, they let go of me then I realised why…

I stood up and looked in front of me there was a huge castle.

I stood there behind the men panting for my breath. I glanced at the side of the castle and thee was a hge hatch door to the cellar of the castle. Should I go through there to ecape from the men? Step by step i got closer to the hatch door staying behind the men. I had to make sure they didn’t see me now or I would be in even more trouble. Cautiously, I got to the hatch and prised it open, EEEEKK, the monsters were talking to each other in some kind of language. I open the hatch door wide and put my foot in. I sat down at the entrance of the cellar. The smell of the cellar of the castle was vile. On the wall of the celar was a torch and a sword, what were they here for?

I lit the torch and in the shimmerng light of it was a huge and the most disgusting dragon I had ever seen thats what the torch was for. Oh No what should I do if the people in the cellar hear the beast I will get caught .

I sat on the hatch door. In sight in the blackness of the cellar I could still see the monster. I dropped down onto the floor. I walked slowly to the monster, GRR! the monster lept into a low mummering growl. On the wall was a torch and many other things I picked up the torch and switched it on. I saw the dragon more clearly now. In the shimmering light of the torch I saw a huge gash on the front of its body. I walked closer, the animal was getting abit weary now. I say that around the cellar was crates of things that looked like they belonged on a ship. Cuasiosly I turned around, there was a huge golden crate with the key at the side of it. Carefully, I placed the key in and turned the lock, I peered inside and saw bandages and platers and many things like that.  I got a bandage and placed it on securing it with a knot. ARGGHHHH! The dragon lept out a very loud growl. I was scared at this point I really didn’t know what to do. Surely the people in the castle heard that noise.

SLam the hatch door behind me got jammed shut. What was happening I didn’t know what to do. BANG something hit me across the head, I fell to the ground … I was unconscious…

When I woke up I was in a room with a huge ceiling with glossy jewels. I heard talking in the background. I couldn’t move I didn’t have the energy.  Finally I got the courage to lean up, I got the most weird sight. A man say in a very high chair was wearing a black cape that was velvet and very smooth.  At the side of the man was the kangasaurous I met , but why was he here?”Right we are here today to decide what we should do against the trespasser” The priest  bellowed.
“But, first we are going to ask the main witness of the event, have you seen this girl in your life before?”

What did the kangasoarous say?

“Yes she needs to be punished I’ve never seen her before.”
Filled with fury like a bottle of water, I couldn’t bellive that someone who I met, save and looked afetr actually betrayed me! Angry was swirling around my body. What should I do I wanted to escape so I don’t get punished, what would the punishment be. I am not that lucky so maybe the punishment was fatal!

The emperor was cackling with laughter.
“Sorry for dragging you on the scene” He bellowed to the evil kangasuarous.
“It’s ok I have never seen her before and I am happy she is being treated like she is now, she doesn’t have a right to step foot on out planet and luckily for us she doesn’t know how to get out”
He glanced at me with sorry eyes and mouthed sorry to me. That’s it I thought, could me life get any worse. I was so angry and I hated this person for what he had done!
“Now all we have to do is think of a punishment for this distgusting little creature! What should it be? Painful, or anything else you can think of”

The kangasuarouses grabbed hold of me really tight be the shoulder so I couldn’t escape. They lead me to a corridor with loads of doors the corridor was long and very narrow, minutes later they finally spoke.
“You will go into this room” and pointed to a door, I glanced over my shoulder to see a horifying sight. It was colossal and broken with many  locks I was terrified, Where they actually going to throw me through this  huge door and leave me there over night ?
“You stay in here and we will bring you food in the morning” shouted the monsters.
Whilst opening the door lock by lock.
They threw me into the cellar that was beneath my feet. Just like before there was a candle that lit every corner of the room.The walls were wet and water slipped down the walls like a worm. The silence was deafening. With the light of the candle I could just make out crates upon one another. I saw a silloughette in the background and there to my surprise  was a horse figure . This horse firgure looked like a unicorn, and it was! The unicorn stood up and rose up to its highest point. Standing tall and proud I didn’t know what it was going to do.
